Holdfast Promenade

Weathersafe completed a remarkable project that transformed the Holdfast Walk in Glenelg, South Australia.
Tasked with designing, engineering, and constructing a custom barrel vault roof structure, our goal was to create a covered passageway that offer protection from both rain and sun while revitalising the area with a modern touch.

Glenelg, known for its beachside charm and vibrant dining scene, benefited greatly from this new addition. The area where the barrel vault now stands was previously lacking the appeal that such a popular location deserved. Our team envisioned a structure that not only linked two buildings but also created an inviting passageway.

The barrel vault has successfully turned this once unattractive space into a welcoming environment where people can hang out, enjoy takeaway food, or dine in. This modern structure has enhanced the overall atmosphere, making it a more desirable destination for both locals and visitors.

Reflecting on this project, we're proud of how the barrel vault has contributed to modernising the area, providing a functional and aesthetically pleasing space that aligns with the lively character of the area.
